December 1980, I came here as a refugee from Cambodia. I went to Delta College in 1984 and later got an AA degree in computer science.  Through the Community Involvement Program (CIP) scholarship given by the University of the Pacific and SUSD, I’ve been able to continue my education at UOP majoring in Mathematics Education. After receiving my BA diploma and my teaching credential, I taught Math over at the former middle school, Daniel Webster School for 9 years. Later,  I transferred to Chavez High School where I taught Math again for 7 years there. This will be my thirteenth year teaching Math at the Health Careers Academy High School. 

Diciembre de 1980, vine aquí como refugiado de Camboya. Fui a Delta College en 1984 y luego obtuve un título de AA en ciencias de la computación. A través de la beca del Programa de Participación Comunitaria (CIP) otorgada por la Universidad del Pacífico y el SUSD, he podido continuar mi educación en la UOP con especialización en Educación Matemática. Después de recibir mi diploma de BA y mi credencial de enseñanza, enseñé Matemáticas en la antigua escuela intermedia, la Escuela Daniel Webster durante 9 años. Más tarde, me trasladé a la Escuela Secundaria Chavez, donde enseñé Matemáticas nuevamente durante 7 años. Este será mi decimotercer año enseñando Matemáticas en la Escuela Secundaria Health Careers Academy.
