! BIENVENIDOS !
My name is Doreidy Sandoval and I am teaching Spanish I, Spanish II Fluent, and Spanish IV: Patient care. I graduated 9 years ago from University of the Pacific with my B.A in International Affairs and Commerce and also with a B.A in Spanish. Right after my undergrad career I decided to continue graduate school and I graduated with my M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction. This is my eigth year at Health Careers Academy and I feel very fortunate to have been selected as a member of this wonderful school.
Away from school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I come from a very traditional family, therefore most of my weekends are dedicated to them. I love to travel and one day I plan on traveling all around the world, so far I have been to France, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Paraguay, England, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Morocco, and Amsterdam.
My goal is to teach all the knowledge that I have about the Spanish language and culture and to help my students through their journey of gaining such knowledge. Through the material taught in the classes, the students will learn how to read, write and speak some Spanish with the hope of them being fluent in the future. The Spanish language is rapidly expanding throughout the U.S. and the rest of the world. Our students will definitely benefit from learning Spanish and practicing it, especially in our community and in health careers. Here you will find news and announcements about the course. Please feel free to email me at dsrios@stocktonusd.net at any time if you need help.
Thank you!
