Hello there!  My name is Mrs. Bryson and I look forward to having mature, intelligent and in depth literary class discussions.  I hope to inspire my students to enjoy or at least appreciate learning about various aspects of American Literature, rhetoric and writing. I encourage them to think critically AND creatively about EVERYTHING!  My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Literature with a minor in Ethnic Studies from Sacramento State University, as well as a Clear Teaching Credential from the IMPACT Teacher Credential Program as well as various Advanced Placement Certificates.  I have been teaching nearly twenty years.

     On a more personal note...  I love my family!  I have three daughters – 18, 21 & 23 years old (and a husband) and I love my pugs to the point of questionable mental health.  I have two pugs and one lab.  I love reading, writing, photography, SF Giants - especially Hunter Pence, traveling, movies, gardening, sushi, different cultures, rainy weekends, hanging with Wilhelmina Harker, board games, old blues and jazz, Joan Didion, Michael Franti, hanging with Little Miss Avery, Harry Potter, New York City, Batman – the Dark Knight, Stranger Things, Christmas time, Mr. Bale, South Park, Tupac, a cabin in the snow, Frozen Yogurt - tart flavor, Beyonce, Andra Day, Amy Winehouse, Justin Bieber,  Melody Gardot, Selena, Game of Thrones, Lake Tahoe, Boondocks, my toes in the sand on a hot summer day, Maui, Italy, Budapest, Hood River and Portland, Oregon, learning anything new and of course, I love teaching and all that comes with it - especially my students!
