• Dear Commodore Students and Families,

On behalf of our Commodore staff, welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year.  We hope you had a wonderful and relaxing summer break and are ready to return for an incredible year of fun and learning.  We are happy that you have decided that Commodore is the school for your child.

At Commodore, we believe every child can learn at high levels.  We do this with the dedication of a highly skilled teaching staff and a school-wide focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).  Our students will design, program, experiment and create as they complete hands-on activities that will develop critical thinking skills that will benefit them across the curriculum.

In an effort to support these academic achievements, we are committed to addressing the social emotional needs of all of our students through the use of PBIS and Restorative Practices.  Following our guidelines of success, we will work to ensure that all of our students will C.A.R.E., demonstrating they Can use good judgment, Act with kindness, Respect themselves and others, and Engage in their learning.

Along with teachers and staff, we will continue to build strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners.  We will use multiple forms of communication, including phone messages, our school website, and social media platforms.  Our amazing Commodore staff will also connect with you through our virtual platform, Class Dojo.  We encourage you to join our monthly parent meetings and various family nights, beginning with Back to School Night on Monday, August 12 from 5:00 – 6:30 for TK-3rd grades and Thursday, August 15th from 5:00 – 6:30 for 4th-8th grades.

As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our gates; teachers, students, and parents are valued and proud to be a member of our school.  My door is always open and I welcome your input.  Feel free to call or email me to discuss any suggestions, ideas, or concerns you might have.

The Commodore staff and I are excited to get started and to work with you and your child to help them have the best year ever!
