About the Teacher

Hello!

My name is Mrs. Heinselman and I started teaching in 1998. For the majority of my teaching career, I have been a kindergarten teacher with part of my time in the first grade. I started teaching kindergarten at Commodore in 2002. I earned my degree in Spanish from CSU Sacramento with a minor in Family Consumer Sciences. I obtained my multiple subject credential at CSU Stanislaus and a Master’s degree in Advanced Teaching from University of La Verne. Kindergarten is my passion. I love to witness all their growth and how excited they are to learn. I love when my previous students return to share their accomplishments or just to say hi. My kindergarten team works hard to make sure our students experience the magic of kindergarten, the joy of learning and exploring all the subjects through science exploration, literature, song and dance. It is an honor to say I teach at Commodore and look forward to many more years at this amazing school with such wonderful staff.
