Hello! Welcome to 8th grade Pre-Algebra. I am Shannon Hieb, and I have been teaching both high school and middle school mathematics for over 20 years after graduating from the University of the Pacific.  I have spent the majority of those years teaching high school Algebra. With this background, I am confident in saying that I know what is needed to prepare all 8th grade students to be successful in 9th grade Algebra at the high school level and beyond.

In my free time, I enjoy running daily, riding horses and spending time with my family, which includes my beloved cat, Mirabelle. I believe that consistent communication is key to a successful year.  I utilize Class Dojo messages every Friday to communicate with parents of students who are missing assignments, as well as, phone calls home with lunch detention for any disruptive behavior that may alter the learning environment.
