The school counseling program at McKinley Elementary prepares all students for their journey towards college, career, and community readiness by fostering the highest level of student achievement. The school counseling department delivers a proactive, equitable and accessible, data-driven comprehensive school counseling program which focuses on the academic, career, social and social emotional development of the whole child.  In partnership with staff, teachers, administrators and a caring community, ALL students achieve long-range success by becoming lifelong learners who make a positive impact on the global society.  

The McKinley School Counseling program envisions a future where all students are graduating college and career ready and are prepared to make the best decisions regarding their post-secondary education. After participating in the McKinley School Counseling program, ALL students S.O.A.R. and have the self-confidence to pursue their personal goals and use their academic, social and emotional intelligence to lead and create positive change in a diverse dynamic community.
