About the Teacher

Hello Parents and Third Graders!

My name is Therese Nguyen.  I am excited to be a part of the Monroe Elementary third grade team. I am currently going into my sixteenth year of teaching. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th grade.  I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year. This is an important transitional year for your child. In kindergarten through second grade, your child learned to read and this year your child will be reading to learn. Each child will progress at his/her own rate, acquiring skills as he/she is developmentally ready.   This year will be a fun learning adventure.

My goal for each student is to help them develop a love for learning while challenging and motivating them to always do their best.  During the course of this year practice working independently and learn organizational skills. Students flourish when there is strong communication and support between students, parents and teachers.  Feel free to contact me throughout the school year.
