2024-2025 WELCOME LETTER FROM PRINCIPAL

  • Mr. Junez Junez waving

    Dear Families,

As we commence a new year, we want to renew our commitment to you that we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure our students receive the best possible instruction, in an inclusive environment, which allows and encourages students to be themselves, as they explore and ponder new ideas and new learning with the guiding support of their teachers.

Last year, we were able to provide students with opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities in our After-School Academies and, this year, we want to continue with this practice. However, these After-School Academies would not be possible without the support and commitment from many of our teacher advisors, so a big thank you to those individuals who go above and beyond for our students.

And speaking of commitments, we can always use your assistance in planning and volunteering at one of our many family events (Turkey Bingo, Festival of Honor, Art Slam, Festival del Nino, Science Night, etc.) planned for this year. Or if you prefer, you can join one of our many parent committees- SSC, ELAC, AA/B PAC, and CAC. This year, we’re hoping that we have enough parent volunteers to form a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), to help us coordinate all school events and fundraisers.

Another way you can partner with us is by discussing with your children how our school-wide rules connect to everyday interactions at home or at school, and how important it is to always Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Kind. As a family project, work with your student and help them set up a quiet “reading nook” where they can read and work on school projects.

As a reminder, cell phones are not allowed at school. However, if your child elects to bring their phone, it must remain in their pockets or in their backpacks, on silent mode, for the entirety of the school day. Our dress code will also remain in effect. We want our focus to be learning and not on the latest fashion, or on the latest social media trend. Thank you for your support and helping us provide for an exceptional school experience.

Please stop by the school or call the office if you have a question, doubt, or comment.

Our Back to School Night is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30th from 5:00-7:00pm, and students’ first day back to school is Thursday, August 1, 2024. Classes start at 8:30am and end at 2:30pm.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education.

    Sincerely,

    Emilio Junez, Principal
