Primary Years Academy of International Education is a K-5 International Baccalaureate World School. We are a public school using an inquiry model of teaching and learning. Our students learn how to question and explore the world around them while using the skills necessary to be a successful internationally-minded citizen in the 21st century. Students work in an environment which supports their academic, social, and physical needs through a rigorous program of study. Primary Years Academy is a community of students, parents, teachers, and administrators working together as a team.

It's Official! PYA is authorized as an IB World School

Tuesday, January 14, 2014, was a red-letter day for Primary Years Academy. We received notification that we have been authorized as an International Baccalaureate World School. This means we successfully met all IB standards and practices and PYA is being welcomed into the ranks of the global school network.

Thank you to all the parents, teachers, staff, and students who have worked tirelessly for the past three and a half years to build our school community from the ground up. It is through dedication and a willingness to strive for the best for our students that we have met this milestone.

We would also like to thank the SUSD Board of Trustees and district administrators for their continued support through the process of building a world-class program.
