Learning Continuity & Attendance Plan

With Senate Bill 98, approved by Governor Newsom on June 29th, 2020, a new requirement was established that requires all districts and county offices of education to create a Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan, this is not an LCAP.  The Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan provide information on how Stockton USD will provide continuity of learning and address the impact of COVID-19 on students, staff, and families in the areas of engagement outreach, in-person instruction, distance learning, addressing learning challenges, supporting mental and social-emotional health of students, resources for staff and students to address trauma and other COVID-19 impacts, school nutrition, and increased and improved services for foster youth, English learners, and low-income students.  Engagement opportunities for feedback have involved students, staff, and families through phone polls, collaborative meetings and forums, social media and school outreach, and surveys.  Input can be provided on the Learning Continuity & Attendance Plan in writing by filling out the form on the upper right-hand corner of this webpage (Learning Continuity & Attendance Plan Draft Feedback) or dropping off written feedback at the SUSD central district office, 701 North Madison Street.  You can also fill out the Learning Continuity & Attendance Plan survey (Learning Continuity & Attendance Plan Survey).  The Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan were developed with feedback from the Community Advisory Committee, Parent Advisory Committee, and District English Learner Advisory Committee.  The public hearing for the Learning Continuity and Attendance plan was held on September 15th, 2020 at the SUSD Board meeting, and the adoption hearing for the plan was held on September 22nd, 2020 at the SUSD Board meeting.  SUSD understands and recognizes that the impacts of COVID-19 continue to shift the operational services being provided and the planning process of providing in-person instructional offerings is dynamic.  SUSD will provide stakeholder engagement throughout the year in support of increasing opportunities for stakeholders to share feedback on needs related to distance learning and in-person instructional offerings as the District will continue to be nimble and adapt to meet the needs shared by stakeholders.
