General Information

  • What is the Young Adult Program (YAP)? The Young Adult Program is a classroom and community-based program for students between the ages of 18-22, with an active Individualized Education Plan.

The Young Adult Program assists students as they transition from high school to adult life, as mandated by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). YAP is designed to improve the functional and vocational achievement of each student. The course of study is based on individual needs, taking into account the young adults' strengths, preferences, and interests.
