About the Teacher: 

Hello! My name is Jay Sanidad. I'm a first generation Filipino-American teacher who was born and raised in Stockton, CA. After attending San Joaquin Delta College, I attained my B.A. in Ethnic Studies from Sacramento State University (#StingersUp). After working in expanded learning for a couple of years, I came back to the 209 and received my teacher's credential from the Teachers College of San Joaquin.

At the root, becoming a teacher has always been about giving back to the community that raised me. I aspire to be a positive influence and provide a safe space where students can enjoy learning. This will be my 4th year teaching at THE Amos Alonzo Stagg High School. For the 2024-2025 school year, I will be teaching Ethnic Studies, AVID 10 and AP Human Geography.
