“PAWS” Behavior Matrix and Positive Interventions and Supports

Harrison Elementary's Behavior Matrix that will include expected behaviors for ALL school settings (playground, library, classroom, etc). Also, each month, all classes will complete a Behavior Matrix Lesson, which has been specially to explicitly teach the identified behavior for each location at Harrison. The idea of, “Pause, and Think of P.A.W.S” will be utilized to help our students make thoughtful decisions regarding the choices they make at school, at home and in the community. Along with the Behavior Matrix, a “Reward System” will be utilized in order to recognize the positive behavior of Harrison students. Each grade level will have its own version of this reward system.
