Mission

As school counselors our mission is to support all Elmwood students, administrators, teachers, parents, and the community by providing a safe, caring, learning environment. We are honored to help  our students achieve their individualized needs by supporting their academic, college/career and social-emotional development. Our counseling program is data-driven and student-focused to promote academic success, career development, and social-emotional growth.

Vision

Through Elmwood’s arts infusion and curriculum, we believe that all students can achieve high academic standards by educating the whole child which will allow students to apply knowledge and skills in their future education and career life goals.

As school counselors, our goals are to assist students in the following areas at school:

• Academic Development

• Career Development

Our goal is to also have every student college and/or career ready by the time they graduate from SUSD.
