    Mission Statement

    The mission of Rio Calaveras’ counseling program is to provide comprehensive school counseling services to all students within a positive, supportive environment.  Our programs are designed to inspire all students to develop and enhance their academic and social/emotional development and, in doing so, become successful college, career and community ready citizens! All students will have equitable access to the school counseling program.  Counselors are committed to maintaining the individual uniqueness of each student and skillfully use strategic, timely, and personal interventions to maximize educational experiences, enhance the development of the student’s potential, close achievement gaps among high and low performing groups, and support positive life choices.

     

    Vision Statement

    The vision of the Rio Calaveras Counseling Program is that all students possess the knowledge and skills necessary to attain the highest levels of academic, emotional and community success.  Our students demonstrate strong character and are responsible, respectful and honest, fully capable of assuming their roles as tomorrow’s world-class citizens and lifelong learners.

     

RAMP Award

  • It is with great pleasure that we announce Rio Calaveras Elementary School Counseling Program as a RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) school. We have been working for over a year on our school counseling program's application and honored to have satisfied all the requirements for a RAMP-recognized school. Our school counseling program could not have earned this recognition without the support of all our students, staff, parents, administrators, and district supervisors.
