Spanish 1 and 2
In this first level, World Language course students develop basic skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the target language. A study of culture is included in each course.
Spanish 3 and 4
This second-level course is designed to extend communication skills and develop vocabulary, grammar, and usage in the target language. Emphasis is placed on general conversation, extended narratives, and cultural concepts.
Spanish 5 and 6
This third level course continues to develop and expand the student’s communication skills in the target language. Emphasis is placed on conversation, written expression, reading, and culture.
Seal of Biliteracy
Qualified students will be challenged to earn a Seal of Biliteracy issued through the State of California to recognize students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. The Seal of Biliteracy can be evidence of skills attractive to college admissions officers and future employers.
