Our Vision

Maxine Hong Kingston School provides an instructional program that reflects high expectations for all students and focuses on the mastery of the standards. Hong Kingston provides a rigorous and challenging academic experience that ensures students will become literate, self-directed and interactive learners, proficient users of technology, effective communicators, adaptable problem solvers, critical thinkers, cooperative workers, and productive, involved citizens. All members of our school community will work together to foster a safe, caring, and nurturing child-centered school. Instructional practices are well planned and support the academic achievement of all students as they work towards mastery of each academic content area. Frequent formal assessments will be used to guide instruction and improve academic achievement.
