Hello, Hong Kingston/Valenzuela parents,

 My name is Dominique Brown, the newly appointed principal of Hong Kingston School/Richard Valenzuela Spanish Dual Immersion Program. I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year and express how elated I am to be serving in the role of principal at Hong Kingston/Valenzuela! I was born and raised in Stockton and am a product of Stockton Unified School District (SUSD). I attended elementary and middle school at SUSD. I graduated from Edison High School, so I know and understand firsthand some of our children's challenges in school and in our communities. I have been an educator at SUSD for over 15 years, so I also know and understand what it takes to ensure the success of our children. I am looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. I recognize that to be successful in our schools, children need support from both home and school. I also know that a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success. I want you to know that I will do my very best to ensure (we) staff and teachers at Hong Kingston/Valenzuela carry out our responsibilities.
