PLUS Forum Trainings
-
PLUS teams across the district participate in training opportunities to fine tune their skills in leading forums. High schools work with their feeder elementary schools to cross-age train younger leaders in the critical aspects of leading a PLUS Forum.
Forums consist of activities designed to breakdown barriers and build connectedness amongst participants. These connections are then utilized to problem solve student issues on campus that affect the school climate. Students come up with student-led solutions to student issues. They then make a commitment to follow through on the solutions with action.
PLUS Leaders use these skills to implement Forums on their school sites on a regular basis. Forums are held for 4th-12th grade students across 49 school sites. Over 6800 students participate in PLUS Forums annually.
